FLIR launches BHM-Series handheld thermal imaging cameras
FLIR Systems has launched its highest yet specification maritime handheld thermal imaging camera at the METS Show in Amsterdam.
FLIR BHM-Series cameras have a bi-ocular format body, allowing both eyes to be used to more easily detect small objects. The BHM-Series offers resolution up to 640 x 480 and up to 4x digital zoom, depending upon the model selected — unrivalled performance from a handheld device.
Interchangeable 35mm, 65mm and 100mm lenses offer narrow, medium and wide fields of view and the FLIR BHM-Series viewfinder is tallored to provide comfortable use over long periods of time, minimising operator fatigue.
There is a built-in still image and video capture facility utlising removable SD storage and a hot shoe is supplied as standard.
The broad body of the FLIR BHM-Series offers a very comfortable two-handed grip and the five-button control keys on the top surface fall easily to hand.
Power is supplied by removable rechargeable AA NiMH batteries providing four hours use on a charge but other types of AA cell can be used, allowing the FLIR BHM-Series to have unlimited operation.
