Kahlenberg D1 marine air horndu Pré Marine is pleased to announce its appointment as the UK distributor of Kahlenberg marine air horns.

This range of air horns is suitable for small leisure motorboats and yachts right through to large commercial vessels.

The excellent design and manufacturing values of Kahlenberg products very much match the aims of du Pré Marine in representing and supporting select and ultra-reliable marine equipment in the leisure boating, superyacht and commercial marine sectors.

Kahlenberg air horns start with the K-380 model, bringing big ship quality to a size and budget for the smallest of leisure boats and run right through a large selection of sizes and multiple air horn clusters suitable for use on vessels up to 20m, then up to 75m and higher. Kahlenberg even supplies its air horns for use on US aircraft carriers.

Kahlenberg air horns are driven by quality electrically powered air compressors, reservoirs, sound controllers and accessories.

The Kahlenberg air horn range even includes the Kahlenberg 02M, an octave set of seven horns on which you can play a tune when entering harbour! That might sound a little frivolous but there are serious reasons for choosing Kahlenberg air horns for new builds and retrofits including:

  • superior build quality - outlasting by many years the cheaper products often fitted as standard;
  • reliability - Kahlenberg air horns work when you need them most, in fog, or during close-quarter manoeuvres, or when risk of collision requires instant and effective action;
  • IMO - Kahlenberg air horns meet or exceed IMO requirements and are robust enough to be installed in correct horizontal alignment, rather than face-down (face-down massively diminishes sound levels);
  • aesthetic and audible pleasure - Kahlenberg yacht and pleasure craft air horns are engineered to match and enhance the most expensive sailing vessels and motor yachts and to ensure that the sound matches the image
