SeaTrack video and radar tracking system
Lasersec Systems' SeaTrack accomplishes precision video and radar tracking for SeaLase laser deterrent systems. It manages stabilisation in two axes, pan and tilt, enabling compensation for yaw and pitch so that targets such as pirates and criminal elements can be tracked.
SeaTrack adds significantly to your watchkeeping ability, with one operator able to monitor mutiple potential hostile threats at once and instantly to bring SeaLase to bear if required.
SeaTrack is controlled with a controller/joystick module and the system produces annotated full screen video with a simple user interface. SeaTrack interfaces with gyro, radar, camera and pan/tilt device via RS232 ports and four NTC / RS170 video inputs.
The system is a fan-less computer in a rack mount, powered by 10-16VDC.
Video tracking
SeaTrack can be harnessed to FLIR thermal imaging cameras and similar systems. It offers nine tracking algorithms:
- hottest spot tracking
- dynamic centroid
- dynamic correlation
- boat tracking
- ground to air
- video motion detection (VMD)
- threshold tracker
- motion on motion
- scene track
Radar tracking
SeaTrack receives data over NMEA from a radar and points the camera at radar targets. The estimated bearing, range, course and speed are extrapolated at 30Hz and displayed to the user. Up to 99 radar IDs can be handled by the screen.
Gyro stabilisation
SeaTrack connects to a fibre optic gyro (FOG) or a MEMS gyro via a serial interface to read in vessel yaw and pitch information. Two-axis stabilisation is achieved at 30Hz.
