Open for business at Seawork 2018

Seawork 2018 has commenced and we’re occupying our traditional position on stand SR6, armed with a good selection of products, representatives from our partners FLIR, Hatteland, Kahlenberg and Luminell and, importantly given the weather, a well-stocked fridge!

To celebrate the success we’ve been having in the European commercial marine market with Kahlenberg we have devoted one end of the stand to products from this global leading manufacturer of marine sound signals and accessories. Including the KB30 horn hailer for vessels in the 20m-75m segment, it’s smaller sibling the KB-15 and horn sets from the Zero-series and 330-series.

Our collaboration with Luminell is marked by the appearance of the CLITE2 LED searchlight, BLX bow light and RLX series floodlights.

From Hatteland we have the impressive Series X MVD 55in chart table display, plus a series of other type approved monitors. These are also showing images from the FLIR  M400 and M617CS.

We’re also pleased to announce our appointment as a distributor of Promarine communication products and more details will follow shortly.

Play spot the FLIR, Colorlight, Hatteland, Kahlenberg at Seawork 2017

This is a game we’ve increasingly enjoyed over the years at du Pré Marine but Seawork 2017 was our best yet event for spot the brand. All around the pontoon we had great examples of FLIR, Colorlight, Hatteland and Kahlenberg installations aboard the vessels featured. Hot products included the Colorlight CLITE 2 LED searchlight, Kahlenberg KB30 electronic horn hailer system and FLIR M-Series cameras in various versions. Plus numerous examples of Hatteland type approved displays.

The example shown on the pic here is of the Colorlight CLITE 2 searchlight aboard Iceni Legend, a South Boats IOW 23m crew transfer vessel (CTV) built by Alicat Workboats in Great Yarmouth and launched in April of this year.

Kahlenberg European distributor launched

US manufacturer Kahlenberg Industries, Inc has appointed a new company, Kahlenberg UK Ltd, to handle the distribution of its full range of marine and industrial sound signals, sound signal controls, air compressors and accessories across all of Europe except Italy.

Kahlenberg UK Ltd builds on the success of sister company du Pré Marine since it was appointed as an agent for Kahlenberg in 2009.

Kahlenberg UK Ltd Chairman Piers du Pré, who also owns the telecommunications and IT specialist du Pré plc, explains: “The du Pré Group has extensive experience of managing support to BSI standards and the knowledge of how to build and maintain a thriving customer base within the UK and in overseas markets.

du Pré Marine was formed to represent a very select, high quality range of niche marine products where full service back-up and a personal approach is required. As an active owner of an 18m trawler yacht I know how invaluable this is for leisure skippers, superyacht captains, vessel masters and ship managers alike.

Kahlenberg will be building a network of European distributors and du Pré Marine will continue to serve companies and end users of the company’s IMO-approved range of air horns and electric horns as well as its high quality compressors, sound signal controllers and accessories.
