du Pré Marine (UK) was founded in 2010 to distribute and support a select portfolio of high quality products. Any item featured by us must demonstrate a focus on safety, reliability, manufacturing excellence and design. Or to put those primary qualifications another way:

du Pré Marine (UK) benefits from three decades of business knowledge from the du Pré group and utilises proven aspects of the group's well-established central resources, including sales and marketing expertise, finance, warehousing and stock control. It has in-depth knowledge of seagoing requirements totalling more than 50 years.

du Pré Marine (UK) is appointed by Hatteland as its sole distributor for the British Isles for Hatteland displays, PC displays, and glass bridges. It is a UK distributor for FLIR thermal imaging cameras and its sister company, Kahlenberg UK, is the European distributor for Kahlenberg marine and industrial sound signals. We work directly with manufacturers, installers, owners and captains to ensure best selection and usage of products in these ranges.

Day-to-day operations are managed by Toby du Pré, who is the son of the founder. Toby grew up with boats since a very young age and has been full trained by du Pré Marine (UK)'s partners to ensure top class support for all products.

The du Pré group

The du Pré group has been in business since 1987 and employs 100 people across two sites in the UK - Newbury in Berkshire and Yeovil in Somerset. Its activities include nationwide BSI certified support of telecommunications, IT provision and support and specialist supply and consultation for business continuity services.

It also includes the specialist independent school management information provider Double First, that develops, supports and trains academic and administration staff on its core Engage product and associated accounting and management software.

The group's founder is former BA/BOAC pilot Piers du Pré, a highly experienced Yachtmaster and motor yacht owner.

The group's Managing Director is Kim Hollamby, formerly of Time Warner group company IPC Media where he was digital development director for a large number of its titles and prior to that, editor of Motor Boats Monthly, and International Boat Industry, and publisher of ybw.com.
